The Certified Management
Accountant (CMA) Program and the Certified in Financial Management (CFM)
Program focus on the dynamic roles that management accountants and financial
managers play in business, public, and government accounting. The certificates
provide distinction in today's economic climate. Earning the CMA and/or

Certification provides an

The CFM Program is co-sponsored
by the Financial Management Association International.
Admission
Candidates seeking certification
must meet one of the following criteria:

Hold a Baccalaureate Degree from
an accredited college or university

Hold a U.S. CPA certificate or
foreign equivalent
-
Hold the foreign equivalent to
the CMA/CFM; or
-
Achieve a score in the 50th percentile
or better on either the Graduate Record Examination or the Graduate Management
Admission Test
In addition, the candidate must:

Be or become a member of the Institute
of Management Accountants
-
Be employed or expect to be employed
in management accounting or financial management
-
Submit the names of two character
references
Examination Content
The CMA and CFM examinations
are comprehensive, four-part exams covering topics important to the effective
practice of management accounting and financial management. Parts 1, 3,
and 4 are common to both examinations.

Management

Part 2 CMA: Financial Accounting
and Reporting *

Part 2 CFM: Corporate Financial
Management

Part 3: Management Reporting,
Analysis and Behavioral Issues

Part 4: Decision Analysis and
Information Systems
Part 2 is waived for individuals
who have passed the U.S. CPA exam.
